2017 Honor flight
Inter-County Energy and Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives to sponsor an Honor Flight for World War II, Korean and Vietnam vets
Mr. Thomas Scott and Mr. Raymond Hatfield are from Lancaster in Garrard County and are among the 70 war veterans who will travel from Lexington to Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Sept. 16, as part of this year’s Honor Flight. Both veterans will travel with the other Kentucky veterans for a one-day tour of war memorials erected in their honor in the nation’s capital.
Scott, a 91 year-old veteran, and Hatfield, a 90 year-old veteran were in World War 2, will represent Inter-County Energy, which is sponsoring the all-expenses paid trip. The mission is being coordinated by Winchester-based Honor Flight Kentucky.
